Listener Question - 7 Plus is Gone?

My research suggests that VIDAA may have removed support for 7 Plus after a recent firmware update. People are complaining about it suddenly not being there anymore. It may be a licensing issue with Vidaa AND Seven West Media.

You could try this as a workaround, but it may not work for your model.
If your remote has the 4 coloured buttons. You can get to 7plus. Steps

1. Go to channel 7
2. Press red button
3. "Demand" centre should open on the bottom half of screen
4. See what options you have regarding extra channels and catchup TV

Some other things

• You may of course look at purchasing an external device for streaming, like Google Chromecast with Google TV or an Amazon Firestick. We have both on our non-smart TVs and they work well.

 

• You could also look at installing the 7 plus App on your phone or tablet and “cast” to the TV, but that can be a bit fiddly to setup.

 

• Before we purchased streaming devices, I had the Freeview App installed on my iPad and Phone and used that to “cast” to the TV. It worked really well, as the iPad was like a remote control. If I selected a program from the On-Demand section, the Freeview App would automatically open the relevant station App: 7 Plus, ABC iView, etc…
