MS Office for Free

Microsoft, recognizing the growing competition from free office suite alternatives, particularly Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), has launched its own suite of free online applications under the banner of "Microsoft 365 Online." This strategic move aims to provide users with accessible productivity tools while maintaining their loyalty within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Picture
Microsoft 365 Online offers a familiar interface and functionality that closely mirrors its desktop counterpart, making it an appealing choice for users accustomed to Microsoft document formats. Unlike some free office suites, such as Google's offering, Microsoft's online suite does not require file conversion, ensuring a seamless experience when working on documents.

One notable advantage is the seamless integration with Microsoft OneDrive, enabling effortless file sharing and collaboration. Users can conveniently access their work by logging in with their Microsoft account, the same credentials used for Windows 10.

While Microsoft 365 Online may lack some advanced features found in the desktop version, it aligns with Google's suite in this regard. However, the introduction of these free online apps expands the options available to users who prioritise compatibility with Microsoft document formats.

To cater to diverse user preferences, Microsoft has provided an Office Online version optimised for Chrome, along with mobile editions tailored for iOS and Android devices. This strategic initiative aims to empower users with flexible, accessible, and productive tools, reinforcing Microsoft's commitment to meeting the evolving demands of the digital workspace.

The Ghost Town Treasure
Unearth a fortune... or unleash a curse! ☠️
Mad Dog Black Jack's legendary loot is hidden somewhere in a dusty ghost town.
Are you brave enough to face the dangers that lurk in the shadows?  Will you claim your prize, or succumb to an ancient curse? The choice is yours, bounty hunter.

Apps Gone Free (website). Media City Games has released several games normally around $4.99. 2 of them are now free for a short time. Free for Apple only.

  • The Ghost Town Treasure
  • Alice trapped in Wonderland
Picture
You’re a struggling bounty hunter who’s about to quit his career. It comes to your attention that a loot from the West’s biggest outlaw - Mad Dog Black Jack- that contains gold, jewels, and gemstones is hidden near an old abandoned mine town on which you grew up.
However, it is also said that over this treasure lies a terrible curse. You decide to take the chance and undertake the search for this cursed treasure.

These are all quality point and search adventure games but be warned, they are not that easy. Lots of puzzles and lots of dead ends, so unless you enjoy a challenge (of the mystery and puzzle kind) best you stay away. I spent 20 minutes and go no-where, but I’m still engaged enough to keep trying.

Avail on Android (Paid) and Apple.
