Fear not!  MITE Radio unveils the easy ways to install ABC iView on various smart TV models.  Is it a simple Google Play Store download or a hidden menu adventure?  We'll break it down for you.  Plus, we'll teach you how to navigate those tricky remote controls to launch the app and start streaming.  Let us help you to unlock a world of entertainment – the ABC iView way!

Varies based on TV brand

Check your remote for a Menu option for Apps
  • Android TV: If your smart TV runs on Android TV (like Sony or some TCL models), you can likely install ABC iView directly from the Google Play Store. Search for "ABC iView" and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app.
  • Google TV: This is a newer version of Android TV. The installation process should be similar to regular Android TV. Search for "ABC iView" in the Google Play Store app and follow the prompts.
  • Samsung Smart TV: Samsung TVs use their own app store. The process may vary depending on the model and year of your TV, but you should be able to access the app store and search for "ABC iView" to install it. Important Note: Some older Samsung TVs might not be compatible with ABC iView.
  • LG Smart TV: Similar to Samsung, LG TVs have their own app store. Search for "ABC iView" within the LG app store and follow the installation instructions specific to your TV model.

If your TV is too old consider a Google TV dongle, Amazon Fire Stick or similar. $50 will get the job done.

Which button on the remote?
However, here are some common indicators to look for on your remote that might lead you to the app store:
  • "Home" button: This button is usually the universal starting point. Pressing it might take you to a home screen where you can find app store options.
  • "Smart Hub" or "Apps" button: Some remotes have dedicated buttons labelled "Smart Hub" or "Apps" that take you directly to the app store section.
  • Directional pad and "OK" button: Often, navigating the app store involves using the directional pad (up, down, left, right) to move through menus and the "OK" or "Enter" button to select options.

Consult the user manual, look online or reach out to us with your TV make and model so we can help.
