Homes in Sydney's Southwest to Get Ultrafast BroadbandGreat news for residents of Sydney's southwest! A new partnership between Walker Corporation and NBN Co will bring the NBN's fastest residential speeds to 13,000 homes in the new Appin community.
This multi-million dollar investment will see 17 kilometres of new fibre optic cable rolled out throughout the community. This full-fibre connection will provide residents and businesses with lightning-fast, high-capacity internet access.
NBN expects this investment to deliver significant economic, social and productivity benefits to the Macarthur region. With residents increasingly working and learning from home, having a fast and reliable internet connection is more important than ever. This new infrastructure will ensure that residents of Appin are well-connected for the future.
For the rest of us, fear not - NBN Co is working on a broader national fibre upgrade program. Their goal is to enable access to nbn Home Ultrafast, offering download speeds of 500 Mbps to close to 1 Gbps, to around 10 million premises across Australia by the end of 2025.
