OCR with Snipping Tool

A great cheat way to scan a document  is to take a photo, but of you need to edit it, you need to pass it through some type of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software. Luckily Windows has it built in to the Snipping Tool.

• Open your picture document.
  
• Activate the snip Shift + Windows + S  or open the snipping tool from the menu.
  
• Select the text tool
  
• Copy all text
  

Note it automatically redact emails and phone numbers.
