Memory vs Storage

Generally, the more you have of both the better.

Memory: what your computer or device uses to store TEMPORARY data. e.g. RAM
Storage: where files and data are stored more permanently. e.g. hard drive, USB drive, CDROM, …  

Computers use memory to load programs and data from permanent storage to execute programs and perform tasks.

Storage
PC: open file explorer This PC (Computer) to see Devices and Drives and their capacity.

Devices: Setting -> Storage

Memory 
PC: right click This PC (Computer) -> Properties -> Installed RAM e.g 8GB
Use TaskMan to see usage
Type taskman, right click Taskbar, 3 finger salute

Devices: Setting -> Memory e.g. 8GB Total 5GB Used 3GB Free
