Dark Angels Ransomware Gang Scores Record-Breaking $75 Million Payday

While the victim of this attack remains undisclosed, the incident highlights the growing sophistication and profitability of cybercrime. The Dark Angels, distinguished by their targeted approach and focus on high-value targets, have positioned themselves as a formidable player in the ransomware landscape.   

The manufacturing sector has emerged as a prime target for these cyberattacks, with twice as many incidents reported compared to healthcare and technology combined. The United States remains the top target for ransomware gangs, accounting for nearly half of all attacks globally.
