How to Get Started

1. Right-Click Anywhere (in a text frame) : Simply right-click on any webpage with text and select "Open in Reading Mode."
2. The Quick Access Path: If you prefer the menu, just click the three-dot icon (⋮) at the top right of your browser, go to "More tools," and select "Reading mode."
3. Use the Address Bar: Keep an eye on your address bar! Often, you’ll see a Reading Mode icon appear there when the browser detects a reader-friendly article.
   

Pro-Level Customization

​Once you’re in Reading Mode, don’t just settle for the default view. You can tailor it to your exact needs using the toolbar at the top:

• Typography: Change the font style (Sans Serif, Serif, or Mono) to something that’s easier on your eyes.
• The "Goldilocks" Factor: Adjust your font size, line height, and letter spacing so the text is perfectly sized for your screen.
• Color Themes: Switch between Light, Dark, or Sepia modes to keep your reading comfortable, whether you're in a bright room or winding down for the night.
• Focus Control: You can toggle images and links off if you want a strictly text-based experience.

Advanced Productivity Hacks

• Pin It to Your Toolbar: Use Reading Mode often? Click the Settings icon (the gear) within Reading Mode and select "Pin reading mode." It will then live permanently in your top toolbar for one-click access.
• Listen While You Read: Need to multitask? Chrome can read the article out loud to you. You can adjust the playback speed, select your preferred voice, and even have the browser highlight the text as it reads along.
• Synchronized Scrolling: If you want to keep the original page as a reference, use the side panel view. When you highlight text in the Reading Mode panel, the original webpage will automatically scroll to match your place.
  
  
  

Quick Note: Reading Mode is designed for articles and text-heavy pages. If you ever find it isn't working on a specific site, it’s likely because that page features interactive maps, complex image galleries, or login forms that aren't compatible with the simplified view
