Q - I downloaded what I thought was a free app but it requires upfront payment.Problem is I didn’t know this going in. (in-app-purchases).

In my experience, an app called DanceFitme allows you to install for free and go through the onboarding process to start the first activity, but you cannot progress and actually start the activity without a payment via a subscription
